‘Due to expansion of my contracting business, I am expanding into various markets. A few years ago, for instance, I started baling the medium-sized bale. Pretty soon the demand for this became high. The machine I was working with then could not handle the peak load I often face. Because of the recurring technical failures, it was not attractive for me to buy a second copy of this machine.
In consultation with RVB Mechanisatie, they decided to develop a new baler that ‘can’t be broken’. In this process, we worked together: they designed and built it, I tested its functioning in practice. So I have been working with the CRIAP from day one.
Every day I went out with the prototype. We seized every opportunity for optimisation. After three years of further development, CRIAP has become exactly the machine we had in mind. In the high season, there are times when CRIAP has to run for up to 40 or 50 hours continuously… and it does so with ease. I can say, it is the Rolls Royce among this type of baler!
But apart from CRIAP’s unbridled dedication, the quality of the pressed bale is also important. CRIAP presses the bales tightly and the wrapping is also perfect. That’s very important for farmers, as it keeps the quality of the grass optimal for as long as possible.’
